I believe everyone deserves a second chance. I am lucky to be where I am today. I am a survivor of homelessness, abuse, and hunger in my teen years. This bled over into my adulthood, lasting many years. Today, I help those who suffer from homelessness, mental health issues, and drug/alcohol addiction. I am proud to be a part of 3 homelessness boards, including here with Youth Futures. Ryker (my service dog) and I have found fulfilment in serving our community. I also attend college online at WGU to obtain my bachelor’s degree in business administration. This has been a long journey from childhood homelessness to stable college student. I am here in hopes to prevent children and teens going through the same journey.
