Northern Utah Edition - March 19th, 2020
SIGN UP to participate
Every year we look forward to sleeping out to raise awareness and funds for our youth experiencing homelessness. We have made a difficult decision to make our #UTsleepout2020 a VIRTUAL experience. What that means is we are still encouraging you to #UTSleepOut2020 in the comfort of your own backyard.
As most of you know nonprofits thrive on events. This is one of our big fundraising events. We need to reach our goal of $10,000 now more than ever. Even with the plot twist we hope you will continue to share the event and raise funds to ensure our youth experiencing homelessness have a safe place to sleep.
If you are participating in our event you have an opportunity to win a $500 dollar Visa Gift Card. How will you win the gift card if we aren't holding an event? Take pictures or create a live video of you sleeping-out in your own space, share the video with us on Facebook using the hashtag #UTsleepout2020, and at 10:00PM we will hold a drawing.
Here's how we are going to facilitate the PLOT TWIST
1: A staff member will be arriving at your place of living on March 19, 2020 between the hours of 7P-9P to deliver your shirt, sticker, and get a picture of you in your camp.
2: If you are a team we will deliver your flag as well.
3: We will be sharing your social media posts on our Facebook page
One of the most important things we want everyone to be aware of is safety. Make sure you are sleeping in a safe space, with at least one other person. We don't want anyone to risk safety, so please take appropriate precautions.
Thank you so much for the continued support and we look forward to seeing all of your homemade camps!
Join us in Ogden at Youth Futures 4th Annual #UTSleepOut2020 to sleep out so homeless youth won't have to!
Youth Futures 4th Annual #UTSleepOut2020 Northern Utah Edition is approaching fast! Lace up, to take steps to end youth homelessness by supporting Youth Futures' mission to give at-risk youth in our community a safe, supportive place to call home when they need it the most. This night is a simulation, participants are sleeping under the stars in adverse weather conditions like many homeless youth in our community do each night. This event is to raise awareness about the youth we serve, and their many stories of sleeping on the streets, abandoned buildings and houses, or in caves and sheds, many who are unaware of the services Youth Futures offers, and we need YOUR help!
