David Levine

With 20 years’ experience in affordable housing, David Levine is principal of Sapienza Consulting, a consulting firm specializing in strategic planning and organizational development for housing nonprofits. Prior to Sapienza, David had served in leadership roles for 14 years, including 9 years as Executive Director, with Good Shepherd Housing based in Fairfax County, Virginia. In 2013, while serving on the leadership team, Good Shepherd Housing won the Washington Post’s “Nonprofit of the Year” award, having bested 48 nonprofits in the metropolitan Washington, DC area in the competition.

Prior to working in affordable housing, David had a career in financial services, including with Salomon Smith Barney, CoreStates Bank, Fannie Mae and E*TRADE Financial. David holds his bachelor’s from the University of Michigan and his master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
